Mother smothered baby in the airplane
London --
It will probably make their whole lives bitter accusations. A breastfeeding mother has accidentally suffocated on a flight from Washington to Kuwait its four weeks old baby.
The 29-year-old Egyptian woman fell asleep while nursing on the plane, as the British newspaper "The Sun" is now reported. The crew of United Airlines plane was then alerted by the screams of the mother awakened when they noticed that her child was suffocated.
The plane was immediately diverted to London Heathrow in order to save the life of the little girl. The child was taken to a hospital and was declared dead, they said, citing the police.
To clarify the exact cause of death, an autopsy was ordered. But the results are still pending. Previously there had been no arrests.
According to United Airlines the tragic accident occurred on 25 November, but was not known until now.
